Paul Boon

Career and experience

Paul Boon, also known as Prut Boonpojanasoontorn, leads Akaliko’s enterprise direction and development as a global mining component and lifecycle platform. His work connects the group’s manufacturing and supply capabilities with regional operations, customers and partners.

His career at Akaliko includes responsibility for group operations from 2012, covering hydraulic cylinder manufacturing, repair and supply. He has worked on international supply-chain development, particularly in China, and on quality systems supporting consistent production and service delivery.

Before these group responsibilities, Paul established and managed United Hydraulic Technology in Balikpapan, Indonesia, serving the coal mining industry. He also led manufacturing and quality-management consulting at Summich Corporation in Singapore. Earlier, at Kasikornbank, he worked on process development, risk-based internal auditing and a multi-channel sales and service model.

Paul holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Industrial and Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. His engineering and process-improvement background informs his approach to building practical operating capabilities and long-term partnerships.
