Next field checks

Service commitments

Visual findings, thermal context and pressure-test conditions belong together. A technical reviewer records the decision; the mockup does not diagnose a seal failure or predict cylinder life.

Four checks on one cylinder

The methods Mine IQ Force uses, shown on an illustrative cylinder, with photos of the same checks in Akaliko workshops.

  • Technicians in hard hats inspecting the bore of a large cylinder barrel.

    Visual inspection

Looks for early wear you can see, such as scoring on the rod or a leak at the gland.

  • PlaceholderPhoto: a thermal image of a hydraulic cylinder, to be supplied by Akaliko

    Thermal analysis

A heat view of the cylinder. Heat that gathers in one place, such as the gland, can point to friction or a failing seal.

  • A technician in Akaliko workwear beside an orange hydraulic cylinder on a test bench.

    Performance testing

Runs the cylinder through its full stroke to check that it extends, holds and retracts as it should.

  • Visual findings. Thermal readings. Performance checks.

    Digital reporting

Records what the three checks find in a digital report on the cylinder.

What it is designed to do

These are the software’s aims, not measured results.

  • Detect early wear

Find wear while the cylinder is still working.

  • Prevent failures

Act on a finding before it becomes a breakdown.

  • Reduce downtime

Turn unplanned stops into planned work.

  • Extend cylinder life

Keep each cylinder in service for longer.

When a check finds something

Where a finding calls for work on the cylinder, these are the Akaliko capabilities that do it.

  • Cylinder repair benches and a test console on either side of the main walkway.

    Repair & remanufacturing

  • Three yellow hydraulic cylinders wrapped in plastic, ready for dispatch.

    Exchange & inventory

Swap a worn cylinder for a prepared one, on terms agreed with you.
