Last Updated: March 2026
Introduction
This Privacy Statement (“Privacy Statement”) applies to The Akaliko Global Group, Inc. and its subsidiaries and affiliates (“Akaliko”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). For more detail on Akaliko’s international operations, please see https://akaliko.global/locations.
Akaliko is committed to protecting your privacy and personal information. This Privacy Statement explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect the personal information you provide when you access or use akaliko.global, shop.akaliko.global, our product catalogs and inventory tools, or any other Akaliko websites or applications that link to this Privacy Statement (collectively, the “Site”). It also applies to personal information you submit to us directly, such as through product inquiries, quote requests, or contact forms.
As Akaliko is headquartered in the Kingdom of Thailand, our processing of personal information is primarily governed by the Thailand Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (2019) (“PDPA”). Where we operate in other jurisdictions, we also comply with applicable local data protection laws. If you are a U.S. resident, please see the U.S. Addendum at the end of this Privacy Statement for further details.
Depending on your relationship with Akaliko, additional or different privacy notices may apply — for example, if you are an employee, contractor, or supplier.
Changes to This Privacy Statement
Akaliko may, in its discretion, amend this Privacy Statement from time to time. To ensure you are able to remain informed, changes to our Privacy Statement will be reflected here.
Personal Information That We Collect

This may include your name, company name, job title or role, email address, phone number, postal address, IP address, geolocation, product or service interests, and industry sector.
If you do not provide this information, we may not be able to process your order, respond to your inquiry, or provide you with access to certain areas of the Site.
Online store and product transactions
When you purchase products through shop.akaliko.global or submit a request for quotation for hydraulic cylinders, components, or services, we may collect additional information necessary to fulfill your order, including shipping details, billing information, and communication preferences.
Events and surveys
If you register for trade shows, exhibitions, or other Akaliko-sponsored events, or take part in surveys, we may collect your name, email address, company and role, dietary preferences, and areas of interest.
Cookies and other tracking technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies as described in the “Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies” section below and in our cookie consent manager.
Office and facility visits
When you visit our offices, workshops, or warehouses, you may be required to sign in at reception. We may collect your name, email address, and government-issued ID. We may also capture audio, images, and footage via CCTV or other security systems in and immediately outside our facilities.
How we might use your personal information
How we use your personal information depends on your interaction with us. We process your information on the following legal bases:
Legitimate interests (PDPA Section 24(5))
We may process your personal information where it is in Akaliko’s legitimate interests to do so, provided those interests are not overridden by your fundamental rights. This includes:
Processing and fulfilling product orders, quotation requests, and service inquiries
Managing your account and communicating with you about your orders or inquiries
Sending you information about products, services, and technical updates that may be relevant to your operations
Personalizing your experience on the Site, including recommending products based on your industry or past interactions
Understanding how our Site is used so we can improve our content, product listings, and navigation
Measuring the effectiveness of our marketing across channels
Managing access to and maintaining the security of our offices, workshops, warehouses, and IT infrastructure
Preventing fraud, protecting our property rights, and asserting or defending legal claims
Aggregating, anonymizing, or de-identifying data for business analysis
Consent (PDPA Section 19)
Where you have given us your consent to process your personal information for specific purposes — such as receiving marketing emails or allowing certain cookies — the lawfulness of that processing is based on your consent. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us using the details in the “Contact Us” section. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
Legal obligation (PDPA Section 24(6))
We may process your personal information where required to comply with a legal obligation, including anti-fraud, anti-money laundering, tax, and export control requirements.
Contractual necessity (PDPA Section 24(3))
We process your personal information where it is necessary to perform a contract with you — for example, to fulfill a product order, deliver services, or take pre-contractual steps at your request such as preparing a quotation.
How We Might Disclose Your Personal Information
We may disclose your personal information to the following parties to help us deliver our products and services and operate the Site:
Our subsidiaries and affiliates within the Akaliko group
Our professional advisors (legal, financial, and audit)

Business partners for co-organized events, trade shows, or joint product initiatives
Law enforcement or regulatory authorities where required by law or court order
We may also disclose your contact information in response to bona-fide intellectual property infringement claims relating to content you have posted on the Site.
In the event of any reorganization, merger, sale, joint venture, assignment, transfer, or other disposition of all or any portion of our business or assets (including in connection with any bankruptcy or similar proceedings), we may disclose your personal information to the relevant third party.
International Transfers of Personal Information
Akaliko operates across approximately 20 countries. To run our business efficiently — including processing orders, coordinating service delivery, and managing our global supply chain — we may transfer your personal information across the Akaliko group of companies and to the third parties listed above.
These transfers may involve your information being stored in countries where privacy laws differ from your home jurisdiction. Under the PDPA, we ensure that the destination country has adequate data protection standards or that appropriate safeguards are in place as prescribed by the Personal Data Protection Committee (“PDPC”). For transfers from other jurisdictions, we comply with applicable local transfer requirements.
Your personal information is only accessible by authorized personnel or vendors bound by confidentiality obligations, and we only make these transfers where we are satisfied that adequate protection is in place.
Retention of Your Personal Information
Akaliko retains your personal information for so long as is necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected. The criteria used to determine our retention periods include:
The duration of our business relationship with you (for example, for as long as you have an active account, open orders, or ongoing service arrangements)
Legal obligations that require us to keep records for a specified period (such as tax or trade compliance requirements)
Our legal position, including applicable limitation periods for potential claims or investigations
Marketing
If you prefer not to receive marketing communications from us, you can unsubscribe at any time using the link provided in every marketing email we send. When subscribing to Akaliko communications, you can select the types of information you would like to receive, and you may update these preferences at any time.
Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies on the Site and in our communications with you. A “cookie” is a small piece of data sent from a web server to your browser and stored on your device. Cookies help us operate the Site, remember your preferences, understand how you use our Site, and provide relevant content.
Most browsers allow you to manage cookies — you can erase them, block them, or receive a warning before they are stored. Visit https://www.aboutcookies.org/ for more information. Please note that some parts of the Site may not function properly if you disable cookies. We do not currently respond to browser do-not-track signals.
A detailed list of the cookies we use is available in our cookie consent manager.
Security
We maintain appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information. Access to personal information is restricted to authorized employees and contractors on a need-to-know basis, and all such individuals are required to maintain confidentiality. While we follow industry-standard practices, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

The Site may contain links to third-party websites, including those of our suppliers, distributors, and industry partners. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. We recommend reviewing the privacy policies of any third-party site you visit.
