Richard, an esteemed alumnus of the University of Michigan, holds a master's degree in Industrial and Operations Engineering. He embarked on his professional journey at the Singapore Economic Development Board, where he also completed his internship. The board played a crucial role in attracting foreign direct investments to Singapore.

Afterward, Richard joined Asia Pulp and Paper (APP), the world's largest pulp and paper company. As a management trainee, he gained valuable experience by taking on diverse roles within the tissue business unit, expanding his knowledge and expertise in the industry.
Following his tenure at APP, Richard, along with two associates, founded PT. United Hydraulic Technology (UHT). For seven years, he dedicated his efforts to establishing UHT as a pioneering company in Indonesia's hydraulic sector, contributing to its success and growth.
Later, Richard returned to APP, where he assumed various management roles over an 11-year period, focusing on real estate and the pulp and paper industry. His most recent position was as the Pulp Commercial Director for the group, showcasing his leadership and expertise in the field. Richard's experience extends beyond China, as he has fostered relationships and established a network across South America, Europe, and Asia.

When not fully engaged in his professional pursuits, Richard enjoys maintaining an active lifestyle. He loves traveling the globe, exploring new places, and immersing himself in different cultures. Additionally, he indulges in a game of golf, finding relaxation and enjoyment on the golf course.

Richard's academic achievements, extensive experience in the pulp and paper industry, and dedication to continuous learning and global networking make him a valuable asset in his field. His leadership and commitment to excellence have contributed to his success and the growth of the organizations he has been a part of.
