Typically, bearings are used in hydraulic cylinder rod ends, vehicle suspensions, heavy equipment articulated joints, and other severe duty use. They can be applied in off-highway mobile construction equipment, large agricultural machinery, mining equipment, forestry products, and other large equipment requiring misalignment capabilities while carrying high loads.
Spherical bearings may be pressed into a bore and provide up to six degrees of angular motion in an infinite axis. They are unsealed and have a groove and holes to allow lubrication. They can be used to resolve issues with angular motion or misalignment. A common application is a hydraulic cylinder, but many other applications are also possible.
